Latest collaboration in the company’s worldwide premium sports sponsorship portfolio aims to strengthen ties with global sports communities
On February 21, TCL announced that it became
the sponsor of the regional partner of CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019, the
world’s oldest international continental football competition and one of the
most influential football championships, in São Paulo, Brazil.
TCL’s partnership with the 46th edition of the
CONMEBOL Copa América, which will be played by South American football teams
including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru,
Uruguay, Venezuela, and two guest teams, Japan and Qatar, in Brazil this
summer, will come into effect from February 22, 2019 to December 31, 2019. It
is TCL’s latest collaboration in its stellar series of well-established,
extensive sponsorship programs and follows its recent collaboration with the
Brazil National Football Team, which shows its passion to connect with growing
sports communities and fulfils its commitment to global consumers.
As the official partner of the tournament, TCL will also enjoy brand exposure via pitch-side adverts, referees’ uniforms, and all VAR equipment, as well as its extensive promotional activities across online, social, mobile and offline channels. In addition, TCL will exclusively provide industry-leading TV products across all venues, allowing football fans to enjoy a high-definition, immersive viewing experience.
To reach out to more football fans, TCL will roll out a series of co-branded marketing activities with the CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019, including launching co-branded products, TV commercials, souvenirs, etc. in designated markets. The company will also host official site activations across all venues, where football fans can experience TCL’s diversified smart products and enjoy promotional discounts. Furthermore, it will launch give-away campaigns to give global football fans the chance to win ticket to the competition.

The company’s other global sports partners include the Brazilian Football Confederation (Brazil), Rosario Central Football Club (Argentina), soccer team San Jose Earthquakes, NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, Philippine Basketball Association (Philippines). It also works with entertainment industry partners including Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre and The Ellen Show.
